Growing up in northern Germany I made my first climbing experiences climbing in the old oak trees at my parents house. But when it comes to rock or sports climbing I was quiet a late bloomer. In between I did different types of martial arts, mainly Shotokan Karate.
My first contact with sports climbing was in 2006 when my brother living in Berlin took me to a climbing gym called 'Magic Mountain'. I immediately catched fire.
Living and studying human medicine in Hamburg about that time I grew up as a climber on artificial climbing walls. But it didn't take me long to make my first outdoor experiences in Harz and Ith.
It was in 2007 when I startet routesetting in the DAV climbing gym in Hamburg. Moving to Berlin in 2011
I continued climbing and routesetting in the DAV climbing gym in Berlin.
In 2017 I moved to Bamberg to work for the 'Sozialstiftung Bamberg' and become a member of the Sportsmedicine Bamberg lead by famous climbing doctor Prof. Volker Schöffl.
Currently I'm setting routes for the DAV climbing gym in Schweinfurt and enjoying the great climbing possibilities in the Frankenjura.
